Oh, some of us in the Northeast understand just fine. *g* (Says the misplaced Tucsonan.) But no, I understand where you're coming from, and I've run into it with a number of my friends in the Northeast as well. I wish I had better ideas of what to do to raise awareness, but I'm ill and I'm tired and I'm not feeling clever, and I'm on the same page as far as not having the energy to do these things myself. I greatly admire you getting out and going to rallies--I can't even do that unless there's something nearby and my husband is willing to drive. And even then, I have to stop and think about his position in the city bureaucracy, which is funded from year to year by people who take their politics very seriously. It sucks.
Thank you for the outsourcing argument, by the way. Useful ammunition the next time I have to have this discussion with somebody.
